In 2014, Methodist Healthcare provided services to 96,000 inpatients and 413,000 outpatients.General Statement of Duties: The Decision Support Analyst II will be primarily responsible for maintaining and validating the cost accounting databases for each hospital, on a monthly basis. In addition, the Analyst will act as a strategic informational resource for all hospitals by providing ongoing reporting and analysis. The Analyst will support multiple hospitals simultaneously, and will work in collaboration with DSS colleagues to provide information to customers in a timely manner. 1. Independently reconciles, calculates, and maintains cost data for multiple databases simultaneously. Develops a clear understanding of cost accounting structure, and financial reporting. 2. Responsible for revisions to cost standards and cost allocation processes to include relative value units, overhead allocation models, and statistics. 3. Maintains and validates product line structures, and prepares detailed ad hoc reports, from multiple data/query sources, into various report formats. 4. Prepares and coordinates distribution of standard profitability and expense management reports to division and hospital administrators. 5. Performs periodic audits of cost models to evaluate reasonableness, accuracy, and integrity of underlying Decision Support data.6. Maintains quarterly reconciliation documentation per HCA requirement, facility structure documentation, and data load/reconciliation status on all databases.
