Directs development of annual enterprise business improvement plan partnering with business units in identifying and prioritizing business improvement and innovation projects. Conducts improvement portfolio performance analysis and project tracking. Acts as gatekeeper for business improvement and innovation value contributions including recognition for Incentive Compensation Program.
: Directs development of annual enterprise business improvement plan incorporating financial targets, prioritized value creation and strategy execution improvement projects, and resources required to meet annual goals. Engages with functional and senior leaders to identify areas of opportunity impacting profitability. Provides expertise and advice in development of scope and financial impact analysis during viability assessment of potential projects. Engages senior leadership, primarily through involvement in business planning cycle, to prioritize projects based on alignment with strategic objectives and profitability goals established by CEO and Executive Committee.
: Implements and maintains portfolio management processes for enterprise business improvement projects. Administers project cost/benefit valuation methodology forecasting financial contributions in collaboration with project teams, sponsors and business unit leadership. Conducts portfolio performance analysis reporting results to executive leadership for subsequent external financial reports.
: Develops and maintains project metrics and program dashboard for communication to executive leadership, stakeholders and project teams. Proactively communicates trends with adverse effect on performance to management for resolution.
: Collaborates with Corporate Affairs on development and management of internal and external communication strategy including, but not limited to, newsletters, recognition events, Sharepoint site.
: Develops and manages annual budget for enterprise business improvement business unit.
: Administers Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) scorecard for enterprise business improvement business unit.
: Directly leads a minimum of 4 business improvement or innovation projects with a total EBITDA or value creation of 5MM+ annually.
: Directly leads a minimum of 12 high value creation or strategy execution consultancies for senior leaders across all businesses.
EDUCATION and Experience:
: Undergraduate degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent discipline required.
: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSBB) certification required.
: Graduate degree in business administration, management or equivalent discipline preferred.
: Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (LSMBB) certification preferred.
: Innovation project and/or program leadership preferred.
: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
: Minimum 15 years professional business experience required.
: Minimum 10 years of Lean Six Sigma experience required.
: Minimum 10 years of innovation leadership, preferred.
: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial or portfolio management, preferred.
: Project management office experience, preferred.
: Energy industry experience, preferred.
: Strong ability to evaluate, analyze and quantify financial impact of business initiatives.
: Superior knowledge of analytical methods and excellent analytical skills.
