Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY Dominos Pizza Team Members are an all-inclusive, fun, energetic and friendly group of people. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for paying all team members by compiling and processing bi-weekly payroll information and maintaining all payroll records. The payroll includes as many as 1600 employees. Payroll processing includes ancillary payroll tasks including audits, tax payments, G/L reconciliation, garnishments and deductions, adjustments and documenting procedures. Responsible for preparing and filing various payroll tax compliance reports with multiple State and Federal taxing agencies, maintaining accurate files and accounting records as well as conducting analysis and account reconciliation on a frequent basis.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews, analyzes and checks payroll forms and reports for accuracy and makes necessary adjustments or corrections.Processes payroll distribution, direct deposit, and pay card transfers for all team members.Sets up and reconciles voluntary payroll deductions, prepares reports, identifies and researches exceptions and remits payment to vendors.Processes garnishments which include child supports, tax levies, student loans, WRIT of garnishments, etc.Completes appropriate forms for special wage/salary payouts and adjustments or to correct or balance a special situation.Compiles and analyzes payroll data, makes recommendations and determinations and prepares related reports.Compiles and distributes post-payroll reports.Researches, analyzes and resolves payroll-related problems or questions.Recommends or participates in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations utilizing knowledge of company, state and federal policies and regulations.Compiles financial, tax and payroll reports for both internal and external purpose; submits to supervisor for review.Coordinates and interacts with federal and state agencies on issues pertaining to employee compensation, general deductions and benefits.Issues W-2 Wage and Tax Statement reprints.Processes and maintains W-4 tax data and changes in personal data.Process all taxable fringe benefits along with all other year-end entries; review and assist in the distribution of employee W-2s.Work with HR department and team members to process replacement payroll checks.Work with HR department to collaboratively administer all company attendance and time reporting, benefits and payroll policies.Performs other related duties as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma/GED.CPP preferred but not required.1-2 years experience processing multi-state payroll preferred.Working knowledge of payroll best practices.Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.High degree of professionalism.Ability to deal sensitively with confidential materialExperience working with complex systems, requiring a high degree of speed, accuracy and attention to detailAbility to adapt, troubleshoot, research solutions and make recommendations to improve work efficienciesAble to gain thorough knowledge of all relevant Dominos and Team Murph policies and standards.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIESTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following:Customer Service - Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
