Position Summary 13;
This is a temporary position involving various duties that permit exposure to the students field of study and or/provide experience that is useful addition to the students education and meaningful preparation for future professional employment. Under immediate direction and under work guidance of Mentor, assist and supports departments in development of business projects.
IT generalist intern to support Service Delivery processes including IT Asset Management, Configuration Management Database and Change Management. The position will involve data entry using support system databases and ticketing tool. It also includes administrative support of weekly process meetings and audio or video conferences. Required skills include strong familiarity with: 1) data entry 2) use of computer systems and 3) attention to detail. Also requires a basic understanding of: 1) ITIL processes and 2) use of audio:video systems.
Tasks and Responsibilities 13;
High quality professional day:to:day execution of special projects
Assist in brainstorming and idea planning
Network:Meet a variety of people in your chosen profession through your internship, allowing you to form relationships you can build on in the future
Learn and master internal operations, including but not limited to accounting, event planning, finance, human resources, payroll, marketing, relationship building, customer service, sales, daily operations, etc
Identify areas for process improvement
Make recommendations to leadership for streamlining systems and processes
Research and implement solutions for enhanced efficiency
Ability to manage and organize multiple projects and meet deadlines
Administrative support of IT systems and processes;
data entry into a variety of databases;
meeting and audio/video conference support
Must have a familiarity with operating protocols for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
Must have the ability to solve common applications issues and install software
Ability to learn new technologies and assist with training end:users
Provide service excellence to customers while following the guidelines of the organization

Minimum Skills 13;
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities 13;
Attend all activities sponsored by CPS Energy during summer employment 13;
Demonstrate an interest in seeking a degree applicable to the utility industry 13;
Have a grade average of B or higher 13;
Have an above average attendance record 13;
Must reside in CPS Energy service area 13;
Participate in full:time summer employment with CPS Energy after junior and senior years in high school for 8 weeks each summer. 13;
Preferred Qualifications 13;
Enrolled at Alamo Academies : Information Technology and Security Academy
At least 16 years of age
Junior in high school
Passing all classes, GPA of 2.0 or higher
Demonstrate an interest in a technical career applicable to the utility industry
Have an above average attendance record
Participate in full:time summer employment with CPS Energy for a minimum of 8 weeks.
Attend all activities sponsored by CPS Energy during summer employment
Must reside in CPS Energy service area
Pass a drug test and background screen prior to summer employment with CPS Energy
