Work closely with Oracle*s internal business and development teams to drive the technical/functional global implementation of Oracle*s applications internally. The main responsibilities may include: Manage all aspects of internal deployment projects and work closely with the internal teams on status, issues and communications. Define business specifications with the internal user community for the global deployment of the application. Define and drive business specifications for product and component integration points. Map standard application functionality to global/local business specifications. Manage product gaps from business specifications to product enhancement and/or business process change. Gather specifications and drive solutions from a global perspective across the e-Business Suite. Define product enhancements to drive solutions across the e-Business Suite for all customers. Manage product setup definition and configuration along with internal business process teams. Manage all aspect of product rollout and coordination with internal teams. Define specifications for data migration from legacy systems into newer applications. Define specifications for data interfaces between applications for product rollouts. Manage user acceptance testing and transfer of information to internal teams. Provide technical support for implemented applications; diagnosing and reporting bugs, applying patches and upgrades as needed. Establish priorities for feasibility studies, systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify the company*s information processing systems. Coordinate with functional departments involved to collect system specifications, techniques, and controls. Interact with senior management within Product Development, Business organizations and Global IT. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Individual should hold at least eight years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. Through critical insight our team is committed to improving the overall effectiveness of Oracle s cloud-based services. *Role* We are looking for Data Scientists to join our global team to help us solve complex problems working alongside our partners with Oracle's Cloud business. Ideally, we re looking for a mixture between a statistician, scientist and machine learning expert and data storyteller: someone who has passion for improving Internet-scale products informed by data. The ideal candidate understands human behavior and knows what to look for in the data, and can work closely with business leaders across finance, engineering and product management teams as we solve complex problems with unique data, analysis, algorithms, and insights. You'll be working on projects related to service utilization, customer behavior profiles, supply chain management, and developing new benchmarks, leveraging predictive and prescriptive analytical methods. * * *Detailed Description and Job Requirements* Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse data sources to generate actionable insights and solutions. Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large data sets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers. Qualifications Minimum Professional Qualifications * Masters or higher in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field * At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the fields of data science or machine learning * Statistical data analysis background and a good understanding of a variety of algorithms and techniques and their applicability to real world problems * Good understanding of experimental practices, error analysis, and evaluation approaches * Strong data cleaning and manipulation experience * Comfortable with standard machine learning toolkits, preferably Java- or Python-based (scikit-learn) * Ability to build solution prototypes in a language such as Python, R, or Java * Strong communication skills. Experience presenting experimental findings to people who are not Data Scientists or ML experts * Ability to build and maintain relationships with various collaborators across the company, and take ownership of data science projects and proof of concepts * Must be able to work in virtual teams in a cross-functional team setting * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with short iterations while maintaining high quality deliverables * Strong critical thinking skills Preferred Skills and Experience: * Familiarity with data visualization tools * Experience advancing business using science and data.
