The American Funds Services IT Team provides technology solutions in support of Capital Groups strategy to modernize service technology and capabilities to continue our tradition of service excellence through all channels.
As an Application Developer based in San Antonio, you will play a critical role in developing technical solutions using the Genesys product suite in support of business initiatives. You will analyze business requirements, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain contact center solutions, to ensure these solutions support current and future business needs of American Funds.
The Application Developer will serve as technical lead on cross:functional projects, perform independent and group research into new contact center technology, and lead contact center technology evaluations.
Conducts gap analysis to understand business requirements, including functional and non:functional requirements, and identify opportunities to address gaps with technology solutions
Identify technology solutions that meet the business requirements from a functional and technical perspective and develop the appropriate business cases, ROIs and cost benefit analyses
Design, develop, and deploy contact center focused initiatives primarily utilizing Genesys products for 3,000 agents across multiple business units
Identify the interdependencies between the contact center environment and the network, server, storage, and database domains. Work with these domain leads and technical architects to manage interdependencies
Bachelors Degree preferred in a related field or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of work experience in application development
Comprehensive technical expertise in multiple technical disciplines such as, but not limited to: application/solution design, software development, unit testing, software/hardware build and deploy, and troubleshooting and issue resolution
Excellent time management skills, organized, hands:on and able to handle multiple tasks
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
