Position Summary 13;
This is a temporary position involving various duties that permit exposure to the students field of study and or/provide experience that is useful addition to the students education and meaningful preparation for future
professional employment. Under immediate direction and under work guidance of Mentor, assist and supports departments in development of business projects.
The Intern will support the company with a primary focus on assignments related to all aspects of corporate responsibility;
as well as supporting the day:to:day activities of the department. The exact projects will be determined according to the interns availability, interest, skills, and experience. There will be an opportunity to be involved in project areas such as: education, employee engagement, sponsorship and volunteerism.
Intern will work 24 : 30 hours a week. The length of internship will depend on department needs: 6 weeks or more.

Tasks and Responsibilities 13;
High quality professional day:to:day execution of special projects
Assist in brainstorming and idea planning
Network:Meet a variety of people in your chosen profession through your internship, allowing you to form relationships you can build on in the future
Learn and master internal operations, including but not limited to accounting, event planning, finance, human resources, payroll, marketing, relationship building, customer service, sales, daily operations, etc
Identify areas for process improvement
Make recommendations to leadership for streamlining systems and processes
Research and implement solutions for enhanced efficiency
Ability to manage and organize multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with various departments to finish necessary projects
Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse constituencies, maintain diplomacy, and negotiate successfully is critical.
Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues.
Adaptable to a fast paced and quickly changing environment, able to prioritize and multi:task, to meet critical deadlines.
Ability to appropriately interpret and implement policies and procedures of CPS Energy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.
Must have favorable driving record.

Demonstrate an interest in seeking a degree applicable to the utility industry 13;
Have a grade average of B or higher 13;

Must reside in CPS Energy service area 13;
Participate in full:time summer employment with CPS Energy after junior and senior years in high school for 8 weeks each summer. 13;
