South Texas Vo-Tech in San Antonio, TX is looking for an experienced education leader to join the team in the Director of Education position. T h e Director of Education (DOE) is the campus leader responsible for all education operations. Focusing on the Core Values the DOE ensures ethical conduct, sound businesspractices, student success, and team development. The DOEis responsible for education oversight, compliant operations, and qualitydelivery of services to students leading to successful outcomes. The DOE will facilitate theenhancement of student learning and achievement, retention of a strong andexperienced faculty, and the advancement of compliant educational practices,resulting in successful student outcomes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: CoreValues Needed: Integrity, CustomerService, Innovation, & Growth. Lea d the education department at the campus level, providing oversight and leadership to ensure successful student outcomes and compliant campus operations M ee t educational outcomes objectives for the programs offered at the campus, and ensure sound academic practices Lead services and activities to ensure a quality educational experience for our students Conduct departmental meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet operational and administrative deadlines Lea d the orientation of new faculty and provide on-going development and consistent implementation of campus curriculum, course learning materials, educational resources, and student assessments En sure that instructional materials and equipment are sufficient in quality and quantity, similar to those found in common occupational practice, are properly maintained, and in working order Lea d ongoing faculty assessments and professional development activities that are appropriate to the school’s size and educational offerings to ensure an active, engaged, and up to date classroom experience for all students E stablish departmental priorities and goals, and implement the actions aligned with the larger company strategy M o n i t o r and ensure departmental compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory bodies’ guidelines, along with internal policies of the company En sure that each staff member has the knowledge and skill to successfully meet the requirements of their position through hiring, training, coaching, and supervising of personnel MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in education or otherwise appropriate from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the US Department of Education 1 year of employment as a post-secondary instructor 1 year of employment as a supervisor 3 years of leadership or management experience in post-secondary education Knowledge of and experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in adult education or related fields S t rong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse groups of employees and customers D e monstration of highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude Ab ili t y to lead and work in an observation/coaching style environment C apab ili t y to prioritize, accept responsibility, and work within deadlines Supe rior organizational and problem-resolution skills D e monstrated commitment to customer service D e monstrated leadership skills including the ability to develop, motivate, and mentor staff S t rong computer software skills including Microsoft Office M u st have past records of integrity that would support compliance with accrediting standards and applicable federal, state, and local requirements Must met any additional requirements as defined by state and/or accrediting oversight agencies. PREFERRED: M a ster’s degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the US Department of Education P revious Director of Education/Dean/Academic Management experience at the post-secondary level E x pe rience with CampusVue academic and administrative platform or other industry related software D e monstrated knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry
