As a member of the Corporate Communications team the Senior Communications Specialist develops and implements communications strategies and plans to support business objectives. Acts with a moderate to high level of autonomy and manages projects of moderate to high complexity and moderate to high visibility to leadership and impact to the business.
Consults with leaders and the business on communications needs, creates strategic communications plans and materials, addresses relevant audiences and ensures alignment of communications activities across the enterprise.
: Initially this role will be focused on providing communication support to a transformative organization wide initiative.
: Responsibilities will include draft/review of all internal/external communications in support of the initiative
: Consult and act as key communications advisor for senior project leadership and interface with the Corporate Communications function as needed in support of the initiative.
: Identifies relevant engagement opportunities, evaluates their effectiveness, and makes recommendations taking into consideration required resources.
: Utilizes corporate communications channels according to the Companys defined communications processes and standards.
: Supports cross:functional content development, participates on the editorial board and assists with editorial planning for corporate communications channels.
: Develops and assists with leadership communications, including publications and presentations; including research, writing, formatting, proofreading and publication/distribution.
: Serves as a liaison to external vendors including public relations firms, writers, graphic designers, photographers and videographers; manages production process and edits/reviews to completion.
: Plans and manages special events, activities, photo/video shoots, etc.
: Participates in special projects or other communications initiatives as prioritized by the business.
: Minimum undergraduate degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English or related field required.
: Minimum 4 years of experience producing communications for a variety of channels and audiences in either a corporate communications environment or leading communications agency.
