The General Manager has overall responsibility for effectively managing all facets of a particular gym location to include customer satisfaction, effective recruitment and selection, proper training of the staff, personnel issues, sales and membership solicitation, facility cleanliness while ensuring the club is achieving projected sales goals as well as all other established goals.Provide high quality customer service in a fast:paced, energetic environmentLead team to achieve total fitness experience for all membersManage all facets of the business to include sales, fitness and gym operationsOversee sales process and systemsManage, monitor and evaluate the performance of all gym:related managersHire, train and schedule all gym:level staffDelegate, monitor, and evaluate specifically assigned responsibilities of sales teamProvide and maintain the highest level of customer service through personal actions and development of staffFacilitate and monitor company:wide initiativesProvide effective decision making in regard to customer service issuesEnsure facility is clean and operationally soundPlan and promote special events for the gym on a monthly basis to drive member engagement, using corporate marketing as neededFive years of related management experience Understanding of performance metrics including P and L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenanceStrong sales focus and ability to drive revenuesStrong customer service orientation with proven resultsAssociate or BachelorA?s degree in business or related field preferred
