Position Summary 13;
This is a temporary position involving various duties that permit exposure to the students field of study and or/provide experience that is useful addition to the students education and meaningful preparation for future professional employment. Under immediate direction and under work guidance of Mentor, assist and supports departments in development of business projects.
Learning the role of a billing specialist and analyst
Tasks and Responsibilities 13;
High quality professional day:to:day execution of special projects
Assist in brainstorming and idea planning
Network:Meet a variety of people in your chosen profession through your internship, allowing you to form relationships you can build on in the future
Learn and master internal operations, including but not limited to accounting, event planning, finance, human resources, payroll, marketing, relationship building, customer service, sales, daily operations, etc
Identify areas for process improvement
Make recommendations to leadership for streamlining systems and processes
Research and implement solutions for enhanced efficiency
Ability to manage and organize multiple projects and meet deadlines
Learn components of billing process starting with Bill Production, Exception Validation, Payment Processing and Accounts Receivable functions;
Additionally the candidate will be introduced to various data management techniques in building and using analytical reports to identify root cause of problems and data to generate solutions.

Demonstrate an interest in seeking a degree applicable to the utility industry 13;
Have a grade average of B or higher 13;
Have an above average attendance record 13;
Must reside in CPS Energy service area 13;
Participate in full:time summer employment with CPS Energy after junior and senior years in high school for 8 weeks each summer. 13;

:At least 16 years of age
:Junior in high school
:Have a grade average of B or higher
:Rank in the top 20 of class
:Have an above average attendance record
:Demonstrate an interest in seeking a degree applicable to the utility industry
:Participate in full:time summer employment with CPS Energy after junior year in high school for a minimum of 8 weeks each summer
:Attend all activities sponsored by CPS Energy during summer employment
:Must reside in CPS Energy service area
:Pass a drug test and background screen prior to summer employment with CPS Energy
