GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - The Government Logging Manager manages all activities related to Logging, which include verifying the accuracy of calculated discounts per the log and analyzing discrepancies to determine root causes.

SUPERVISOR - PARS Director or Payment Analysis Director –(facility based reporting structure)

SUPERVISES - Logging staff

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Manage activities related to PAS Logging functions specific to either Managed Care and/or Medicare/Medicaid

Ensure Logging processes are performed efficiently and effectively The processes include:

Unpaid Claims Reports

Bill 25

• Contract Modeling Accuracy

Discrepancy Analysis

Batch Report Corrections

Perform Q/A for Logging function

Screen, interview, and hire new employees

Arrange for training of new employees

Review each staff member’s productivity on a monthly basis and performing annual evaluations

Counsel staff with disciplinary and productivity issues

Work as a liaison between the Logging staff and other Patient Account Services staff

Resolve issues escalated by Logging staff

Conduct monthly staff meetings

Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

Other duties as assigned

PC skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required

Financial management - applies tools and processes to successfully manage to budget

Government reimbursement – Medicare and Medicaid
