The Technical Project Manager III (PM) is responsible for managing all aspects of planning for and implementation of CenturyLink telecommunication projects supporting the U.S. Army IMCOM G9 Child and Youth Services (CYS) Commercial Enterprise Network to include coordination of service delivery, providing timely status updates to leadership and management, and solving problems to enhance service delivery.
The project manager will work with others in a team environment as a member of the Governments organization responsible for the coordination of site surveys, installations, circuit delivery, and testing and turn:up of communications systems. This effort will require scheduling and coordination of vendor installation activities as well and technical resources to ensure the successful implementation of the communications systems and equipment. This requires inter:departmental teaming, the ability to elicit support from other organizations, communicating with vendors, customer facing management and doing what is necessary to support the installation needs of the CenturyLink services.
:Act as the onsite liaison between the Government and the CenturyLink for delivery of all services
:Perform status updates weekly or as required and provide inputs to weekly reports to customers as required
:Gather requirements, create project plans and track project progress; adjust plans as needed and take appropriate corrective action to address plan variances Support development and provide oversight of technical documents (plans, contracts, specifications, estimates, reports, assessments, etc.) for CenturyLink provided services in conjunction with the appropriate Government leads, demonstrate exceptional leadership and consensus:building skills
:Provide support and recommendations on project management and implementation for the government as they relate to CenturyLink services and the enterprise commercial network
:Provide support in the successful execution and delivery of current and future CenturyLink technologies as they relate to the enterprise commercial network
:Work closely with the Government with specific focus on managing CenturyLink provided services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
:PMP or related certification
:Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications and related technologies
:Demonstrated Program and Project Management expertise and experience
:Minimum of 1:3 years experience managing telecommunications or related technology projects and Information Technology (IT) applications
:Experience with US Army networks and telecommunications requirements and US Army command structure as it relates to implementation of telecommunications projects
:Ability to effectively convey information and work well in a structured environment
:Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management and within the government administrative, maintenance, functional and technical communities
:Good critical and analytical thinking
:Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and completely
:Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines
:Excellent written and verbal communication skills
