Cook The Cook is responsible for:Proper preparation of patient and cafeteria food service as required by local, state, and federal standardsAdhering to sanitation policies as also required by local, state and federal standardsFollowing established standardized recipes for quality results and assuring that serving time deadlines are met consistentlyMenu plans; reviewing menus daily and communicating with other cooks regarding supplies and preparation of ingredientsAssisting with checking food deliveries and processing invoicesInspecting and assuring that all items are accounted for; signing invoices and submitting to Dietary OfficeAttending appropriate meetings with Director and DietitianAssisting in monitoring infection control and sanitation standardsThe Cook must: Have a high School education or GEDHave the ability to read and write in English, in order to follow recipes and plan menusFive years commercial food preparation is preferred but not requiredPost Acute Medical/Warm Springs Hospitals provide competitive employee benefits packages, 401K, life insurance, bonuses, and more
