Job Summary:
TIA Group is currently looking for an experienced Account Manager to fill an opening with our company located in NW San Antonio, TX. Interested candidates should have 2+ years of experience working in a Customer Service environment and hold a Bachelors degree or have equivalent education or experience.
Essential Responsibilities and Activities:
Act as subject matter expert for employee benefit programs such as: group health, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, as well as COBRA and wellness benefits
Utilize extensive experience to obtain quotes from insurance companies, identify comparable benefits, and recommend alternate plans
Build client facing documents (benefit spreadsheets) so the employer and employee can make informed decisions about their benefits

Secure/update/confirm appropriate
information/materials from enrollment related sources (internal associates, carrier reps, client leadership, etc.) to support/create employee communication resulting in a successful annual open enrollment
Coordinate and conduct onsite employee benefit enrollment meetings for clients; presenting benefit overview to groups of up to 30 employees
Primary point of contact for the client and internal service team regarding execution and approval of various functions, including but not limited to: processing changes based on Qualifying Life Event, evidence of insurability, manual carrier updates, quality assurance and audits, confirmation statements, reporting and other benefit transactions
Utilize extensive
benefit/product/process experience to identify issues, troubleshoot client or service team problems and assist with resolution
Work closely with clients Human Resources staff to respond to their employees benefit related inquiries and questions
Work closely with benefit
provider(s)/carrier(s) to resolve eligibility issues and to escalate service and/or claims issues on behalf of employees
Qualifications Required:
2 or more years working in a Customer Service environment
Bachelors degree or equivalent education or experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a strong working knowledge of Excel
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Current TX Driver License and clean driving record
Group 1 Insurance License
Excellent collaboration, organization, time and priority management, customer service and problem:solving skills
Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions
Strong client relationship building skills
Payroll, Accounting and HRIS experience is a plus
Physical Demands:
Sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally transport 20 pounds.
Must be able to see objects in presence of glare or bright lighting (e.g., computer screen)
