Our client, the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full:spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.
We are looking for a licensed professional engineer to fill a critical role in supporting AFCECs mission. This is an outstanding opportunity your academic and real world expertise to work that has direct impact on improving conditions for Air Force Major Commands, installations, and other customers across the globe.
* Provide technical reviews of electrical plans, specifications, and designs for existing facility renovations, new facility construction, and utility infrastructure
* Work with the internal team supporting installation management activities
* Participate in a wide variety of technical initiatives: cost estimation, technical portions of contract procurement packages, technical report and design reviews, submittals review, partial payment invoices review, construction surveillance and quality assurance, change order management, technical contract interpretation, project status reporting, construction safety, and project closeout
* Interface with other technical staff within an internal team, base civil engineering staff, installation stakeholders, government contracting staff, and construction contractors.
* 10 years of experience with facilities and infrastructure electrical engineering design
* Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Expertise with national building codes including NFPA 70 and IEEE C2
* Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
* Professional registration as an Electrical Engineer
* Ability to exercise independent professional judgment
* Superior written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to obtain a Clearance or CAC Card
